Recently my dance sculptors and Mrs. were shown at the Capital Works Gallery as part of the Diana Exhibit. Thanks to Debbie Gualco, I have another invitation to exhibit at Gallery 625 in Woodland for their "Go Figure Yolo" exhibit that will be in April 2013. My costumed sculptors of Jazzman, Lady in the Garden, Lady with a Hat, Mrs, Gypsy, and my dancers will be part of their exhibit. More information to come.

Check out Sculpture at Blue Line Gallery and Sacramento Fine Arts Center
Dia de Los Muertos Show: Art by Jo AnnBlum, Marie Dixon, Suzanne Goodwin, Juice Lee, Miriam Morris, and Cassandra Reeves.
The Blue LIne Gallery is located at 405 Vernon St. Suite 100, Roseville and our show is running until November 7. Easy access with free parking next door.
The Sacramento Fine Arts Center is located at 5330 Gibbons Drive in Carmichael and the Bold Expressions, International Juried Show is open until October 24.

Steve's Mask at Kaneko Gallery, Mask Show
Tony Natsuolas recommended I use my models on armature as a model and build the figure off armature from the legs up. As a result, I have a bunch of legs, torso and heads, because I never could come back before they both harden to the same consistency. I heard about a sculptor who just did body parts so I decided to try firing and staining my legs and torsos. My sculpted mask of Steve is in the Kaneko Gallery Mask Show. Tony calls my work expressive. I love exaggerating the figure. Hopefully, you can see an improvement from my early figures.
Where is the Remote? -Blue Line Gallery,Roseville
I love sculpting the long pose during the S Street Marathons. When the artists finish after a long day, they sit around and have a glass of wine and critique the work. I don’t know who recommended the title for my six hour sculpture of a female model on a large chair. Her gestural pose encouraged the title, “Where is the remote?” Today at the Capital Plein Air Competition, someone came up and said, “Where is your sculpture?”

Fear and Resolutions
You may have seen this video before. It was produced by Sid Akar, another student from Sacramento City College in 2006, who was moved by my drawings of me on the side of cliff with images of crosses, saints, and family photos at the bottom. This was my version of a dream I had when I was sick of me falling. I am sharing because this video will be highlighted at the reception for Dia de Los Muertos. You will be able to compare my improvement in capturing the figure.
